BC Agency for Pathology and Laboratory Medicine - New Medical Lead, Quality and Patient Safety

The BC Agency for Pathology and Laboratory Medicine announce the recent appointment of Dr. Jim Hutchinson to the medical leadership position of Medical Lead, Quality & Patient Safety.

Dr. Hutchinson is a Medical Microbiologist and the Medical Director of Antimicrobial Stewardship with Island Health. He brings a diverse practice experience to this additional role with the Agency. His appointment is effective February 14, 2018.

This position is an important leadership role to support the Agency in meeting its mandate for pathology and laboratory medicine in the Province.
